In therapy, my approach is designed to meet individual needs using EMDR therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused treatment. The combination of these approaches provides an opportunity to help resolve concerns from the past or work with a solution-focused model to treat immediate concerns.

Individual Therapy / EMDR
Individual therapy is a place for processing thoughts, feelings and self-discovery. A therapist is trained to actively listen without judgment to help you process your feelings, gain insight and learn skills to understand and manage current triggers. Especially after a life-threatening or negative challenging event, certain reactions occur in the body and negative symptoms and triggers may increase over time. The event of a trauma may be debilitating and cause strong reactions years after the initial incident. Individual therapy may help:
- Heal emotional wounds
- Reduce symptoms of PTSD
- Restore motivation and clarity
- Gain insight into the past experience, understand triggers and reduce negative symptoms
- Enhance relationships with family, friends, partner
- Increase self-esteem
- Discover new areas of interest, personal self-growth
- Improve communication, boundaries and assertiveness
- Develop life satisfaction, resolve emotional pain

- Self-Pay: You pay the fee per session. The benefit of self-pay is that a third-party payor is not involved with your personal therapy.
- Superbill: If you have insurance other than the insurance where your therapist is a provider (out-of-network), a "superbill" is provided to you after payment of services. The superbill shows the fees you have paid and you send the superbill to your insurance provider and they may reimburse you directly.
- HSA/FSA: Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards are also an accepted form of payment.
Notice of Good Faith Estimate
Notice of Good Faith Estimate of January 1, 2022: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. Save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
